I am a 5o+ mom and gramdma who use my crockpot all the time especially during the cold winters of Michigan. I have 2 sizes of crock pots one is just a little one for just my husband and me, and a larger one 6 quart capacity for certain recipes. I love my crock pots!!!!!!

A lot of my recipe are for the 6-quart. My advice is if it fits it cooks. 4-quart is still a pretty good size and a good size of my recipes can be made in one. You can search 4-quart on my blog and the recipes should come up for 4-quart or larger. Make sure to use the – sign in your search.
