I’m making this for the first time today. I want to add more protein, so I bought cannelloni beans to add. Has anyone tried that before & if so how did it turn out?

I made this for dinner tonight and the whole family loved it. They even came back for seconds. There is six of us ranging from 14 months to 90 yrs old.
I used 4 lbs of chicken breast. Next time I’ll add a bit of chicken broth or use thighs. The only thing I did different was cook some onion with bacon. I used a whole package of bacon.
This is going on the rotation.

Made this last night. Very good my family enjoyed it! The next time I will tweak it a bit to fit my families likings more. So we will add MORE BACON for sure and incorporated some cheese stirred in as well not just on top. I also think I will add a bity less cream cheese as 2 blocks was ALOT and soo thick. But great recipe base overall, thanks!

One of my ultimate guilty pleasure meals. So good, especially on a cold night…there is nothing better, and so easy to make. Love it, over a bed of rice or noodles with some broccoli or asparagus and mushrooms, I could eat this every day

Wouldn’t recommend it honestly, it separated and clumped on me the first time. The powder ranch packets just worked better for me and coated the chicken beautifully…the cream cheese mixes at the end obviously and works well, giving it the creaminess needed. It’s cheaper and works better in my opinion to use the mix and not the ranch in a bottle. To each their own, but for me, it was easier to just use the powder mix….

It’s not gross or anything, but just very bland. I even added Italian seasoning, hot sauce, and Sriracha and it just fell a little flat.
